These would be cute for a baby shower too!  With a lifesaver and a tic tac pacifier! (and of course a different nose! You could add a little diaper, then in one diaper put a dot of mustard and whoever gets the "dirty diaper" wins a prize! Hey it's only fair right?! :)

Read colorful books to your child for free online and other children can read too!

Read, Give, and Share with We Give Books!  And it is free to read and help others read!

I just found an amazing free resource and I wanted to pass it on to all of you. We Give Books is a free online library of children’s books that enables your kids to help other children around the world while they’re reading. The best part is, your reading will directly impact the great work of non-profit organizations around the world! Their tagline says it all, “combining the joy of reading with the power of giving.” It’s the perfect tool for parents, teachers, caregivers, and anyone who loves children’s books!
When you go to www.wegivebooks.org, you’ll be able to read a special selection of books without a We Give Books account, but you have to sign up to access their full library. It’s definitely worth it, though. It’s just a quick form, and once you’re signed up, you’ll have access to over 150 quality children’s books! There are a lot of familiar classic titles, and even more new ones for us to discover. You can sort the books by age level, genre, author, and seasonal selections in the “Featured” section, so everyone can find something they like.
On the Causes page you can learn more about where your donated books are going. This fall, We Give Books is focusing on early childhood literacy across the United States and supporting great causes like Jumpstart for young children. In the winter, you’ll be able to read to support global literacy and give books to non-profits like Room to Read. They also give you the option to donate to help your book donations reach even more children.
We Give Books is a program of the Pearson Foundation and Penguin Group. Penguin works with its authors to provide an outstanding selection of online books while the Pearson Foundation donates print books to charity partners. We Give Books is a great way to get your children excited about reading and to teach them about the importance of helping others.

If you are in the Springfield Mo. area

We complain when people or businesses don't do their job so I think we ought to "tell on" them when they are exceptional! I needed some plumbing work done and Jana Barton referred me to Lonney Smith owner of Wee-Bee Plumbing. He is a licensed, insured Master Plumber and is funny and actually makes needing repairs less painful! His phone number is 417-229-9159. He has a faucet as a hood ornament and his license plate....well I'll just let you read it when you use his services! Keep his number in your book in case you ever need help, I give him the full 5 stars! Thanks again Jana! I think she said that Lana Erven Thomas gave her his number so Lana thank you too! Oh and he got here in a timely manner and he is reasonabily priced too!

Pool noodles part 2

Well you asked for it and I aim to please! Pool Noodles part 2!  Hope you find the video helpful.  Thank you so much for watching and please tell your friends!  Remember, it is EZ 4 U 2 DO

Below are the pictures I promised! Hope they help!

Cover a sharp edge with a noodle! (Red would look like a heart!)
Keep little fingers from owies in swinging doors.
I had 2 "prongs" I had to cut slits for to make the computer stand noodle fit, it is so much more comfortable!

It will not scratch your furniture now, or hurt your lap
and it doesn't slide off as easily! :)

Q: What kind of exercises are best for a swimmer? A: Pool-ups!

So "pool" your resources and use your noodle to let your creativity shine!  Don't forget to put your ideas in the comments section.  If you would like to be featured just let me know!  I learned to share from Sesame Street. :)

He is Risen indeed! (bunny & chic bread shapes)

Easter is a precious holiday!" Jesus is Risen" echos throughout the ages into our hearts.  That is a gift that we really can't fully comprehend, though by faith He proves Himself true day by day!  It is truly cause for a celebration!  Celebrate is something that we do in our family! Then after.....you have wonderful memories, maybe if you are lucky some regrets at eating too much and even more reasons to be grateful.  It may be a bit too late to use this year, but I thought you might enjoy seeing some Easter ideas anyway.  I tried the Rhodes bread bunny.  He started out looking just like a bunny, then it said "let rise for 20 mins.". Yea, don't believe 'em!  When I came back, it looked more like a pig! Hey, I will share my "oops" with you too. We can help each other that way.  In any case I think I would just let it set for 10 mins. next time...or even easier buy a large and a small round bread and a couple of french breads for ears already baked!  Anyway, I was bringing the salad so I decided to do a bunny salad bar.  Here it is:
The bunny bread is in the middle and at the bottom are baby greens with spinach under that.
In the bowls surrounding him are:
roasted sweet potatoes
roasted spring asparagus
pineapple chunks
black beans (rinsed from can)
grated carrots
pumpkin seeds
slivered almonds (which were his teeth too)
raisins (his eyes)
craisins
cubed pickled beets and well I don't remember!
I did try the bird bread, they came out better:
Roll a long piece of dough about 12" then tie it, one end is the head, the other the tail. Put an almond sliver for the beak and cut the tail to make 3 feathers. They recommended putting cloves in for eyes after it was baked, but I just used cake decorating pens and dotted on the eyes, that way they are edible!

Well, I had so much more I wanted to get on here.  Maybe another post on Easter again soon.  Have a wonderful week and think about all the yummy things you are going to plant in your garden!

It's all fun and games until somebody gets an idea! :)
Debbie
